Finally Firenze
Okay my final post about spring break. Sorry it’s taken so long. Busy girl ova hurr! But anyways so we left Rome and took the train to Florence. When we got there we were all pretty tired but we walked around and saw a few things such as the Duomo. Spring Break Part II: Roma Roma Roma!
Okay so after our wonderful time in Sorrento, we trained up to Rome. It was actually so much pretty than I expected. A lot greener than bland grey/beige Paris. It was cool seeing how old everything actually was.
Our first day there we checked into the hostel and headed over to the colosseum. Took some pics, went in for like 12 euro wtf.

Finally done with Midterms!
I’ve been busy studying and working on projects (well kind of not really. I like to think I’ve been busy doing that). Most of them went well except my history midterm. I will literally jump for joy if I get a 13/20 which translates as a B on a U.S grading scale. Don’t know if I’ll even get that though because I left two answers completely blank.

Sorry I haven’t written in here forever. I probably wouldn’t have written in here anyway but I’m putting off homework and a much needed run. My body feels like it’s been run over by a bus from going out on Friday night. It’s sunday, so I should be feeling better by now but I guess not.

New Discoveries
Thursday Shazia and I went to the Saint Germain de Près area which is so cute. It’s very chic. We went to Ladurée and got the new flavor of macaroon and I bought perfume at the Fragonard shop. Then we got coffees at a café and people watched for a while which is always so much fun.
Thursday night we went out to a bar called The Mazet. It was like an anglophone bar so it was really fun....

First Free Weekend in Paris

Starting this back up again! I leave for study abroad again Feb 10th. This time I’ll be in Paris and instead of a month, I’ll be there for five months! I’m feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves but I’m definitely ready for a change of pace after spending the holidays with family and friends!

Quenelle
Today we had la quenelle for dinner. It was my second dinner with my host family. It is a famous dish from Lyon and it’s very french. I really like it and I’ve never heard of it before.
It’s defined as: A quenelle is a mixture of creamed fish, chicken, or meat, sometimes combined with breadcrumbs, with a light egg binding. It can be served vegetarian or “nature.”
My first tumblr post. Getting ready to leave for Arles, France tomorrow for the next month. I thought this would be a cool way to keep track of my experience. Pretty much my first time out of the country other than my day trip over the border of mexico! ; ) I’m really looking forward to all the food, clothes, sightseeing, and of course the language!
